Wrapped up APEX TECH 2026 and it’s clear how much inflight entertainment has evolved. It’s no longer a standalone offering but a core part of airline digital strategy. Conversations around data-driven personalization, streaming-style experiences, and content as a driver of engagement and revenue came up again and again. With connectivity continuing to improve, expectations around agility, real-time updates, and measurable impact are only getting higher.

Beyond sponsoring the networking event and lunch, it was great to see our President, Kate Groth, take part in the panel ‘From Studio to Screen: Managing Rights within the Future Content Mix.’ The discussion highlighted how passenger-centric delivery and cloud-based distribution are reshaping content strategy while making rights management more complex than ever. The big question that resonated was whether IFE moves toward a more direct, passenger-driven experience or remain rooted in traditional B2B licensing models. The industry is clearly at an inflection point, and APEX TECH 2026 showed that this shift is already underway.
