Martin Cunnison (or Marty in the West family) brings more than 25 years’ experience helping airlines adopt innovative passenger experience, retail and digital technology solutions. Having worked across airline technology, inflight connectivity, entertainment, and payments, he has built and scaled commercial partnerships with airlines and technology providers worldwide.
Marty’s relationship with West goes back almost to the company’s beginnings. Having first worked with Kate and Rick more than 20-years ago, he became West Entertainment’s first customer through AirFi. Together, AirFi and West pioneered a new go-to-market partnership model, introducing many of West’s first airline customers and helping establish the foundations for the business.
Now, almost a decade later, Marty has joined West to help lead the next phase of growth, bringing together entertainment, connectivity, passenger intelligence and commerce to help airlines unlock greater value from every connected journey.

For decades, great content review has depended on experienced people carefully watching every title and applying the editing standards of individual airlines and markets. TOM brings AI to that process, not to replace the QC process, but to extend its reach.
TOM analyzes films frame-by-frame and alongside their dialogue, identifies potential concerns and places them on a precise timeline. It can evaluate those observations against different content policies, helping reviewers and editors find relevant moments faster and apply each customer’s requirements more consistently. The Lab and content programming teams remain the expert decision-makers; TOM handles more of the searching, organizing and repetitive first-pass work.
Everything TOM observes also feeds into WestIQ – West’s AI-driven business intelligence platform. Locations, products, people, activities and other on-screen details become structured intelligence that can improve search, recommendations and passenger experiences!
TOM connects two of West Entertainment’s strengths: the Lab’s deep QC and processing expertise and WestIQ’s decisioning technology. It turns years of human knowledge into a system that can operate across an expanding global content catalog.

In modern entertainment, a false choice often divides data-driven Artificial Intelligence from authentic human creativity. At West Entertainment, we know the future belongs to their fusion.
This philosophy comes alive inside our state-of-the-art Orange County headquarters. Thousands of miles away from abstract server clouds, our Irvine facility houses a powerhouse of physical creation:
When predictive intelligence meets physical infrastructure, workflows transform! Insights from advanced platforms go straight to our studio floor, informing the scripts we write, the lighting setups we build, and the audio landscapes we mix.
By pairing the reach of intelligent curation with tangible studio craftsmanship in Irvine, we aren’t just predicting the future of entertainment – we are building it, frame by frame.

Brand New Day became the second-fastest feature to cross the billion-dollar mark globally when Sony announced Tuesday morning that it reached the threshold in six days, bested only by Endgame.
As a lawsuit halts David Ellison’s $111 billion deal close until the March trial, both studios are in a holding pattern, with some projects at risk and priorities restricted by deal terms.
AirFunnl reduces content deployment times and lowers cellular ground data transfer costs for AirFi installed operations, while improving playback on passenger devices.
It’s hard to believe that our friends and partners at Ricochet Digital Media are celebrating five incredible years in business!
Leaning into years of collective insider know-how in the IFE industry, Delisa, Heather, and Jason decided it was time to bet on themselves – and honestly, starting their own company was the best plot twist ever.
As Jason Szymanski, Partner, says “Five years later, we have truly fine-tuned what we do best. Delisa attends film festivals acquiring outstanding titles for our catalog. Heather, with her extensive knowledge of film and television talent, assists with film acquisitions and marketing. And I handle the day-to-day business operations and finances – while the three of us share sales responsibilities.”
At the core of everything Ricochet Digital Media does is a genuine commitment to its industry relationships. As Jason says “We deeply value these relationships and are so grateful for the long-standing partnerships we’ve maintained, as well as the countless new friendships built along the way. Thank you to everyone who has championed, supported, and flown alongside us on this amazing journey.”
