West Entertainment appoints Asif Khan as SVP of Entertainment

West Entertainment LLC announces today that Asif Khan has been appointed as SVP of Entertainment. Asif, formerly of Etihad Airways, brings over 24 years of expertise and knowledge in the IFEC industry. Having managed all aspects of Etihad’s IFEC, he brings a unique insight that will continue to propel our current and future clients’ IFEC to world class standards. Early in his IFEC career, Asif worked with and managed IFE accounts in Southeast Asia including Dragonair and Cathay Pacific Airways. He later moved to the Gulf region establishing and managing the Middle East office of Inflight Productions based in Dubai. Key clients included Etihad Airways, Emirates and Qatar Airways amongst others. In 2012 Asif joined Etihad Airways as Manager Inflight Entertainment Operations tasked with rolling out Connectivity Services across the airline’s fleet. Over the years Asif rose through the ranks to take on more responsibilities within the airline and to Head the IFEC and Publications portfolio. He was responsible for the development and delivery of Etihad’s award-winning IFEC strategy and products which included digital entertainment (seatback and wireless), applications, connectivity services and publications as well as managing the E-BOX entertainment brand.

Asif holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in International Business.

Asif will be initially based in West’s UAE office but travelling often to the US to work on business strategy and sales.
